ABOUT THIS WATCH:

SULTANAIRE MERIT – REF. ST-107-1B

Merit is what a thing has earned rather than what it was given. Every other watch we make begins with a flawless piece of timber. This one begins with a broken one. The case is padauk, an African hardwood that darkens from orange to deep red as it ages, set in resin that fills the splits and hollows the tree left behind. Nothing is sanded away or hidden. The gold-toned ring and open movement sit in the middle of it, and a black strap holds the whole thing quietly together.

SPECIFICATIONS: 

WOOD TYPE:

Padauk from West and Central Africa, cut bright orange and deepening to red as it ages, here set in resin that holds the wood’s natural voids.

WARRANTY:

Merit and Ref. ST-107-1B are engraved on the caseback, and an NFC card confirms it as genuine Sultanaire. Covered by a 1 year warranty from delivery.

CRAFTED AFTER YOUR ORDER:

Nothing sits waiting on a shelf. Your watch is built only once you order it, shaped and finished by hand over three to four days, then sent within 15 days.

SUSTAINABILITY:

One tree is planted with every order placed. We source every timber with care and waste none of it, because wood this good deserves nothing less.

UNIQUENESS:

No two pieces of padauk ever break the same way, so no two resin pours are alike. Yours exists once and can never be matched or ordered again.

CARE:

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Keep away from prolonged water, perfumes and solvents. Store somewhere dry and cool, out of long direct heat or sun.
